PLEASE don't change the gig date! Your new samples sound great (if a little fuzzy) - but thanks for the tasters of what should be a top album!

Any news of who's supporting yet?

Hi, i strongly recommend you listen to a band called Envy. Currently signed to Mogwai's rock action label, they would be perfect support.
The new material is sounding good. Can't wait till 27th. Bye.

Yo yo yo! War of the Worlds sounds fucking beautiful! I can hear the deadlines thing, I only noticed after you mentioned though! I also noticed a pretty similar formular to Moodswings, I love that shit! If this album doesn't come out soon I think I will leave home and join the circus, fall in love with a lady lion tamer and then tragically, get eaten by the lion. Fuck that, bring that album to me!!!

Awesome...what a stunning track! The new album is blatantly going to be one of the best of 2005!

Is Carolyn still with MV? I just read something about Keith (a.k.a. Keef) Lambert from Vex Red/Scenes joining MV...truth or rumour?!

I've just stumbled on this site after 4 years of playing 'finelines' which has never gathered dust. Glad to hear that your about to release new stuff. My credit card is ready to purchase! (though I think I've missed the gigs sadly... I'll check dates later). Keep on, keeping on people :)

i'd love to put the band on in Manchester when they're playing

could you send me your agents contact details, or just your details so we can try and arrange something later in the year - people want to see you again up here in the cold north!!!

Having to wait two years for that put it ALL into perspective, you ARE the best band in the world, and I WILL be in the audience AGAIN in April... plz plz plz let us know the date wen its finalized. I'l also be first in the queue when your album is released! so please dont disappear again, i will continue to be a walking advert until my legs drop off, promise x p.s. The gig last night was amazing. The sound was excellent and the guitars were set apart perfectly in the mix. You could hear all of the intricate guitar parts clearly against the rhythm which isn't always the case.

One of the best gigs I've been too. Might also have something to do with having had to wait well over two years since the Astoria.

One question - does anyone know what sort of effects Seth's been using on finelines and live??

What an amazing gig, I second all the comments already posted here! Does anyone have the correct setlist? I was typing it on my phone but half way through, as usual, it somehow got deleted.

This is for the guy who left the question about effects...

As far as i can tell and from what ive seen Some uses Digitech Whammy, Boss DD3 and Digitech XP300 and im guying a chorus and flange. As far as Seth's effects i think he uses a lot of boss pedals. If anyone has any pics of the set ups that would be cool. Hope that was some kind of help

Hi,

I think i have figured out in my short lunch breaks how to work this- all to much use of the word Blogging! I am trying to get an e-mail address for any of the band. I have not seen them for years- 4 and a half to be precise, which seems a million miles away in on e sense, but in another wasn't too long ago. I love MV and was kind of a friend of theirs but lost touch. Does anyone know a way i acan contact them; my e-mail address is re_shipley@hotmail.com.
Never stopped thinking of you guys.
Kind regards,
Rachael (Nottingham- well i used to be!)x
